Wednesday March 18th

~*PLEASE READ:  We are now required to take attendance daily.  This is just to cover ourselves in the event anything needs to be reported at a later date.  I have put a Google Form together that you can log into and take your attendance. Please click on the “Present” circle, and fill out the names of both the student and parent.  If you are unable to fill this form out, please email me your attendance. Please don’t message me with it on the Remind app, email keeps a more accurate account of messages. Click the following link to take your attendance.  PLEASE NOTE - You must log in from Google for it to work, the best way to do this is through the student’s Chromebooks.

Religion:
  • We will still continue our daily Bible reading during the season of Lent, it will just look a little differently than what we normally see in the classroom.
  • Our reading for the day comes from Matthew 5:17-19.
    • The Fulfillment of the Law

    • 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
  • Get out those crayons and markers!  Choose one of the prayer pal papers that I sent home with you.  Write at least a paragraph to your PreK 4 prayer pal buddy. Color them a nice picture, maybe of Jesus, the two of you praying together, or maybe a beautiful sunset or image you know God has created.  When we return we will give these to our buddies.

Social Studies:
  • Read p. 124-125 “Patriots and Loyalists”.
  • Using a Google Doc Answer the following questions about your reading:
    • Name two reasons Loyalists did not support the Patriot cause.
    • What did the Patriots want?
    • What did Patriots and Loyalists do to support their beliefs?
    • Where did the idea for “God Save the Thirteen States” come from?
  • After you have finished answering these four questions, please share your Google Doc with me.  Click the blue Share button in the top right corner of your page and put my email grade4@stthereseroxbury.org.  Make sure my name comes up and then click Done.

Handwriting:
  • Complete p. 62-63 in cursive.
