Please refer to the St. Therese School website for my Back to School Night video if you have not viewed it yet.  There will be a special tab that will bring you to the video I recorded introducing and explaining how the 4th grade classroom is run.  Please reach out to me if you have any questions.  

Homework:

Math:  Please practice your multiplication facts for at least 15 minutes each evening.  

Spelling:  Unit 2 work is due on Thursday.  Unit 2 test will be taken on Friday.

Phonics:  Workbook p. 7-10 are due on Friday.

Upcoming Events:

~Pizza is ordered every Friday.  If you would like to have pizza for lunch on Friday's you must send in money that week.  Monthly payment will no longer be accepted.  Two slices of pizza costs $3.00.

-Gym uniforms can be worn the whole month of September.  

-Picture Day is on Friday September 18th.

-Scholastic orders are due by Friday September 25th.  Our classroom code is JDD2N if you would like to order online.

Language Arts:  Complete worksheet p. 4 #1-10 in the Winn Dixie packet.  These packets MUST come back to school every day they are sent home.

Wednesday September 9th

We are having a great time in 4th Grade.  The students are doing wonderful with how the classroom and school is supposed to run with all the new protocols.  Keep up the great work!

Tuesday September 8th

Welcome back to everyone, including our remote students!  You all did a great job today.  We are still working the kinks out so please be kind to one another until we get our routine down.

Friday September 4th

Good Afternoon!  We had a wonderful back to school week.  We learned so much about each other and our classroom.  We have been doing really well keeping our distance, washing our hands, and being aware of where we walk in the building.  I am so proud of this class!

Important Information:

~Please join our class on the Remind app.  Our class code is @eaa47b8.

~All Chromebooks will be sent home in back packs every day (as well as headphones and their mouse).  This is just a precaution in the event that we may go full virtual.  I would like each student to have a case for their Chromebook, this will help keep it safe from any wear and tear in their back packs.

~Please make sure Chromebooks are fully charged every day.  We will use the Chromebooks throughout the day in class and I would hate to have anyone miss out because their Chromebook isn't charged.  I will direct the students when they can use them for homework.  

~If you are missing anything off of the supply list, please make sure you purchase it over the long weekend.  We will begin instruction on Tuesday when we return to school.

~There will be no school on Monday September 7th in observance of Labor Day.  School will resume on Tuesday September 8th.

Wednesday September 2nd

 

Welcome Back Everyone!  We had a wonderful first day of school.  Lot's of talking on Mrs. Rowland's part explaining how the 4th grade classroom runs, but we all had the chance to participate in some fun activities to get to know each other.  We even got a chance to chat with our favorite remote learner, Melanie!!  I am looking forward to a wonderful, engaging, and fun school year!
